Bodmin Digital Banners
Official opening 6th April
These banners were commissioned for the official opening on 6th April of Bodmin’s new “greenway” which is part of the North Cornwall District Council’s Walk to Work project. The Digital banners were designed by Cloth of Gold from artwork created in the art department by pupils at Bodmin Community School.

Cloth of Gold Colombia April 2006
Cloth of Gold and educators and artists in Colombia have been working together since 2003 and have formed a unique partnership involving cross cultural exchanges and projects. This has included practical creative workshops in schools in Colombian cities and remote rural areas. See pics and read blog of trip at colombiacog.blogspot.com
Cloth of Gold have just returned from their third visit to Colombia completing three weeks of workshops during April. This trip was financed by a successful Fund Raising Programme of Events held from January to March 2006 in the Cloth of Gold art studio in Kilburn.

Caribbean Currents
Recently Cloth of Gold renewed their partnership with the Horniman Museum completing a long term London-wide community project linked to the launch of the museum's important new temporary exhibition 'Amazon to Caribbean'. Artists worked with a wide range of different Caribbean community groups in partnership with four local museums in Greater London:
The Cuming Museum in Southwark; Grange Museum in Brent; Wandsworth Museum; and the Newham Heritage Centre.
Virtual Visitors Project
An ongoing arts project for Holocaust Memorial Day held in Cardiff in January 2006.
This online creative arts project is one of the activities organised for the Holocaust Memorial Day held in Cardiff in January 2006.
The project gives pupils the opportunity to receive ‘Virtual Visitors’ to their school and community travelling through time and cyber space.
The visitors will initially arrive from war time Europe seeking refuge from Nazi persecution to tell their story ‘first hand’ to their new classmates.
During the project they will gradually transform into contemporary characters to help explore and better understand how we respond to all ‘outsiders’ and people whose appearance and customs may be different from our own.
